Elfshot is the web presence of interface designer, Rowan Ferguson. This site contains some examples of standards based web design and snippets of various personal projects I am interested in.
Fleadom is a short animated film that is currently on hold due to other priorities. The story is about a flea's progress to find his patch of hair in a world of conformity. Below are some screen shots from the film. View actual size
Stormwarden is a musical project that has been ticking away very slowly since 1998. Analogus with dark trance, it is based on a 4/4 time signature with off-beat basslines and filtered melodies. Drop-tuned death metal guitar riffs will add the crunch I've always been after. I'm hoping to resume production on the first track to do this soon, (titled Far From the Sun). It has a spoken monologue which is published at www.storm-warden.com .
The last track without guitars was inspired by the 80s Commodore 64 game, Impossible Mission. The game was noted for it's early use of speech synthesis and these samples feature in the track.
A portion of my target audience include Flash animators. In Elfshot, Flash is used as a progressive enhancement to add subtle interactivity to the header. If JavaScript or Flash are disabled, a static graphic replaces the header. Graceful degredation ensures content is accessible to all visitors.
