Full-size arcade cabinet from MDF

Projects

Using basic tools like a circular saw and some imagination, I show you how I built a full-size arcade cabinet primarily from 16mm MDF.

The design keeps cuts simple and materials optimized, with basic angles for easy construction. It's designed to be playable for two people standing or sitting on a high bar stool. I also demonstrate how I use Blender to plan the build in 3D.

The project features optional 3D-printed LED-lit details, vibrant paintwork, and vinyl decals. This cabinet houses an existing retro console, a budget computer screen, and a Bluetooth speaker, with all cables neatly hidden in a rear access panel for a clean, plug-and-play setup. The cabinet is also fairly shallow so it doesn't protrude too much into the room.
