I make a wall mounted plant hanger in rusty steel which is suitable for planting small succulents or cactus plants.

I also discuss the meaning of wabi-sabi and how this translates roughly to rustic simplicity or understated elegance. I explain how the concept of wabi-sabi plays a part in the handcrafted projects I make in reclaimed timber and steel.

The planter features an inner rusty frame with artwork that will develop a nice rusty patina. It also has a mirror in the back to reflect the garden behind. The project was made in mild steel and corten. It was constructed mostly with a MIG welder.
